Private Label Pack Upgrade Checklist for Menstrual Pants
2026-08-04

A packaging upgrade can improve shelf clarity and private label positioning, but it also creates version, labeling and inventory risks. Buyers should connect the new artwork to the approved product sample, size table, pack count and export carton file before mass production.
Confirm the SKU Behind the Artwork
Write the product code, size, pack count, material direction and approved sample code on the artwork brief. Do not begin with visual design alone. One pack file should map to one controlled commercial configuration.
Review Claims and Required Text
Check the target market's language, importer information, size wording, barcode, lot or date area and disposal guidance. Product claims should reflect sample-reviewed evidence and avoid unsupported medical, sterilization or absolute performance language.
Inspect the Physical Proof
A screen PDF cannot reveal all print and packing issues. Review color direction, text size, seal zones, code readability and how the garment fits inside the pack on a physical proof or pre-production sample.
Test Shipping and Case Packing
Confirm pack dimensions, units per carton, carton marks and protection during normal handling. A visually improved retail pack still needs to remain suitable for export packing and warehouse identification.
Plan the Version Transition
Record the artwork code and approval date, identify remaining old-pack stock and tell receiving teams when the new version begins. Keep both files during the transition so a repeat order does not accidentally revive the retired version.
Buyer Review Table
| Review Point | Evidence to Record | Decision Use |
|---|---|---|
| SKU map | Sample, size and count | Links pack to product |
| Artwork review | Claims, language and codes | Controls compliance inputs |
| Physical proof | Print, seal and product fit | Checks production reality |
| Transition | Old stock and effective version | Protects repeat orders |
Buyer FAQ
Can buyers approve packaging from a PDF only?
A PDF is useful for content review, while a physical proof or pre-production sample helps check print, seals and product fit.
When should carton marks be approved?
Before production packing, together with the retail-pack version and shipment file.
What prevents version confusion?
Use unique artwork codes, approval dates and a written transition record.
