How to Wash Reusable Period Pants (and How Many Times You Can Wear Them)

With one pair per cycle and a small rotation, that's roughly a year of use. After that, the layer still works as underwear but stops performing as period protection.

• Signs it's done: the gusset feels thin or crunchy, leaks move to the edges, or it no longer holds what it used to.
• Rotation matters: owning 3–5 pairs spreads the wear and means you're never forced to wear a pair that isn't fully dry.
