Sanitary Pad Back Adhesive Review for Private Label Orders

Adhesive approval should cover layout, release paper, placement and the agreed sample method.

Back adhesive is a small part of a sanitary pad specification, yet it affects converting, individual wrapping and the buyer's sample experience. Private label buyers should approve the adhesive system as a documented sample feature, not as a vague statement in a quotation.

Define What the Sample Review Covers

List the pad length, wing structure, backsheet, adhesive layout and release-paper format. Ask whether the quotation is based on full-length lines, segmented lines or another application pattern. The pattern should be reviewed together with the pad shape because coverage and placement may differ by length or product design.

Inspect Release Paper and Wrapper Interaction

Check whether the release paper is centered, easy to separate during the agreed sample review and compatible with the folded product. For winged pads, review the wing release pieces as well as the central strip. Note any lifting, offset or transfer observed in the sample set. Packaging artwork approval should also confirm which surface of the folded pad faces the printed wrapper.

Use a Repeatable Placement Check

Choose an agreed garment fabric or inspection surface and a consistent placement method. Record the holding period, removal direction and sample condition. The purpose is to compare versions under the same conditions, not to turn one informal check into a universal performance claim. If the buyer sells multiple lengths, review representative day and night samples rather than assuming one adhesive layout fits the entire range.

Connect Adhesive Approval to Change Control

The approved record should include the sample code, adhesive application pattern, release-paper material, wrapper version and date. If an adhesive or backsheet changes later, the supplier should notify the buyer and provide a new comparison sample when the change could affect placement, removal or packing.

Questions for the RFQ

  • Which adhesive layout is quoted for each pad length?
  • How are the central and wing release papers configured?
  • What sample quantity is available for buyer review?
  • How will approved materials and artwork versions be identified?
  • Which changes require buyer reapproval?

Review product directions in the sanitary pad category, including the 245 mm private label sanitary pad. For an OEM sample request, send the target length mix, pack format and market requirements through the contact page.
