Ultra-thin is a product direction, but a useful buyer review needs more than one thickness label. OEM buyers should judge the complete sample balance: how the pad bends, how the surface feels, how the core is distributed and how the folded piece fits the proposed retail pack.

Compare Like With Like

Use samples with the same length and intended use when comparing thickness directions. If length, surface and core all change at once, the feedback becomes difficult to interpret. Label every sample with a code and keep a short scorecard.

Review Flexibility and Shape Recovery

Handle the sample in the folded and opened state. Note whether it opens evenly, lies flat and retains a consistent shape during ordinary handling. These observations are more actionable than a broad comfort statement because the factory can connect them to construction choices.
