Factory Audit Evidence Checklist for Feminine Hygiene OEM Buyers

2026-07-15

An audit isn't a tour, it's a document trail. Overseas buyers who ask for the right evidence before cooperating save themselves a bad partnership. If you're auditing a feminine hygiene OEM, here's the evidence that actually proves the plant.

Workshop & production evidence

Line photos with timestamps, the conversion layout, and the real run speed. A plant that only sends a lobby shot is showing you the entrance, not the capability. Ask for the line, the test bench, and the warehouse.

R&D and quality records

EvidenceWhat it proves
In-line inspection logsQC runs during production
Per-SKU test reportsProduct meets spec, batch-level
Retained sample logComplaints trace to a batch
Changeover recordsThey track SKU switches

Certifications — read the scope

ISO/CE marks prove a system, but check the scope covers hygiene products and your market. A certificate for "general manufacturing" isn't the same as one for the pad you're buying. Ask for the scope, not just the logo.

Samples — match them to the record

The sample you wear-test should be traceable to the same line and inputs as the bulk. A "showroom sample" from a different run proves nothing. Tie the sample to the production record.

Export handover evidence

Certificate of Origin, free-sale readiness, and a packing list that matches the cartons. A plant that's exported before has these templated; one learning on your order is your risk.

The cautious buyer's rule

Evidence beats assurances. If a supplier can't produce the record, assume it doesn't exist — and decide accordingly. The audit is cheap insurance against an expensive partnership.

Opinion: I've seen buyers sign on a smooth video call and discover at shipment that the "plant" was a trading desk. The document trail is the only thing that survives a charming sales pitch.

Questions buyers actually ask

What's the single most important evidence?

Per-SKU test reports with batch numbers, tied to the line. That proves the product you'll get, not a poster.

Do I need an on-site audit?

Not always — a strong document trail plus a live video walk covers most buyers. An on-site audit adds certainty for large programs.

Can Nafei provide this trail?

Yes — line evidence, test records, and export docs on request. Start via contact or the about page.

What if a cert scope is wrong?

Treat it as missing. A certificate outside your product and market doesn't cover your pad. Ask for the right scope.
