Production process of sanitary napkins:
Raw material preparation
- Absorbent layer material: Select high-quality wood pulp fiber, cotton fiber, etc. as the basic raw materials, crush them into ideal fibers, and undergo pretreatment such as impurity removal and bleaching.
- Polymer absorbent material: Add a certain amount of polymer absorbent resin, such as sodium polyacrylate, to enhance the water absorption performance of sanitary napkins.
- Surface and bottom layer materials: Select soft and breathable non-woven fabrics or pure cotton fabrics as surface layer materials to provide a comfortable touch; select waterproof and breathable cast film as the bottom layer material to prevent menstrual blood leakage.
- Auxiliary materials: Prepare auxiliary materials such as hot melt adhesives and glue for bonding of each layer of materials.
Core production
- Pulping and mixing: Put the pretreated wood pulp fiber and other raw materials and polymer absorbent resin and other additives into the mixing equipment in proportion, add an appropriate amount of water, stir and mix, and make a uniform velvet pulp.
- Molding and compaction: Send the velvet pulp into the molding equipment, and form a thin sheet core with a certain thickness and density through pressure rolling or other molding processes.
- Wrapping and disinfection: Wrap the core with non-woven fabric or other materials to fix the shape and improve the strength, and then perform ultraviolet disinfection and other treatments to ensure the hygiene of the core.
Assembly molding
- Composite layers: The prepared core is composited with the surface layer and the bottom layer material through a composite machine, and the layers of materials are usually tightly bonded together by spraying glue, hot pressing, etc.
- Embossing treatment: Embossing treatment on the surface of sanitary napkins can increase the beauty of sanitary napkins on the one hand, and make the liquid diffuse and absorb better on the other hand, and also play a certain role in preventing side leakage.
- Install side wings: Cut the side wing material into a suitable shape and size through automatic equipment, and then glue it on both sides of the sanitary napkin to form a side wing that prevents side leakage.
Cutting and packaging
- Cutting and separation: Use a cutting machine to cut and separate continuous sanitary napkins one by one according to the designed size and shape, and remove excess materials.
- Folding packaging: Fold the cut sanitary napkins, usually fold the side wings, and then use a packaging machine to put it into packaging materials such as plastic bags or paper boxes, and seal them.
- Inspection and warehousing: During or after the packaging process, sanitary napkins are inspected for quality, including appearance inspection, size inspection, water absorption performance test, microbial inspection, etc.
