The national standards for sanitary napkin grades mainly involve the following two standards:


GB 15979-2024 "Hygiene requirements for disposable sanitary products"

This is a mandatory national standard that will be implemented on July 1, 2025, and stipulates that sanitary napkins are divided into "ordinary grade" and "disinfection grade". Ordinary grade bacterial colony count ≤ 200cfu/g, total fungal colony count ≤ 100cfu/g; disinfection grade bacterial colony count ≤ 20cfu/g, and fungal colonies shall not be detected at the time of leaving the factory.


GB/T 8939-2018 "Sanitary napkins (pads)"

This is a recommended national standard that stipulates that sanitary napkin products should not use discarded and recycled raw materials, should be clean, free of dirt and damage, and should not contain foreign matter in the product.
